Approved Method Workflow

Chemical Earthing Installation Guide

A professional field sequence for contractors, EPC teams, consultants and inspection personnel.

Chemical earthing electrode
Installation must follow approved project documents.
Pre-installation

Confirm design, safety and material readiness before excavation.

Document review

Approved drawing, BOQ, datasheet, soil report, method statement and ITP.

Safety verification

Permits, service detection, barricading, PPE, isolation and competent supervision.

Material control

Electrode, EBF, chamber, conductor, clamps, labels and calibrated test instruments.

Field sequence

Eight controlled stages

01

Verify location

Confirm approved point, access and underground services.

02

Prepare pit / bore

Follow approved depth, diameter and excavation controls.

03

Place electrode

Keep vertical and central; protect coating and terminal.

04

Install EBF

Place uniformly and avoid voids, foreign material and segregation.

05

Connect conductor

Use compatible hardware and secure testable termination.

06

Set chamber

Ensure safe level, access, identification and mechanical protection.

07

Test system

Check continuity and earth resistance with calibrated equipment.

08

Close records

Submit photos, as-built data, readings and inspection documents.

Safety note: This web guide is general information and does not replace a project-approved drawing, risk assessment or method statement.
